Layer 8 Computing, LLC (“we”) operates www.layer8computing.com. This page explains what happens to information you provide through it. For questions, or to have information removed, contact us at info@layer8computing.com or 802-735-1217.
Information you give us
If you use the contact form, you provide your name, email address, and message — and anything else you choose to type into the form. We use it to reply to your inquiry and to keep a record of the work we have discussed.
The form is delivered by HubSpot, Inc., which acts as our processor and stores submissions on our behalf in the United States. We do not use the form data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies you may receive come from services used to display and protect the contact form:
- Cloudflare — distinguishes human visitors from automated traffic to protect the form. Expires after about 30 minutes.
- Google reCAPTCHA — risk analysis to keep spam out of the form. Expires after about six months.
Both exist for security rather than tracking, which is why you are not asked to consent to them before the page loads.
Analytics
We measure page views with Umami, self-hosted on infrastructure we control. It is cookieless; it records the page visited, the referring site, and coarse technical details such as screen size and country. It does not create a profile of you, does not follow you to other sites, and does not store your IP address.
We use no advertising networks, no social media pixels, and no cross-site trackers.
How long we keep things
Contact form submissions are kept for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and to maintain our business records. Ask us and we will delete yours.
Your choices
Email info@layer8computing.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not require you to justify the request.
